(a) When dilute sulphuric acid is placed upon a copper plate, there is no reaction to occur. The creation of blue-colored copper sulphate crystals occurs when concentrated sulphuric acid is poured onto a copper plate, resulting in the release of hydrogen gas and the formation of hydrogen gas. The following is the chemical reaction that occurs when concentrated sulfuric acid and copper are combined:

Cu + H2SO4 (conc)→ CuSO4 + H2

(b) A brown copper coating forms on the surface of iron when it is immersed in copper sulphate solution, and the color of copper sulphate solution changes from blue to pale green when an iron nail is dipped in a copper sulphate solution. As a result of the reaction, it may be concluded that iron is more reactive than copper, as copper is displaced from the copper sulphate solution. The iron enters the solution as Fe (II), resulting in the formation of ferrous sulphate solution.

Fe + CuSO4 → FeSO4 + Cu
