The word ‘pan-regional’ was used to describe empires that spanned many regions. Cholas, Khaljis, Tughluqs, and Mughals were dynasties with pan-regional empires. The legacy of the major and minor nations that reigned over the subcontinent were left in most of the subcontinent’s regions. Pan-regional standards resulted in the creation of various different and common traditions in government, economics, elite cultures, and languages, to name a few notable outcomes.
