NCB full form: NCB stands for Narcotics Control Bureau in its full form. In Hindi, NCB stands for Narcotics Control Bureau. It is India’s top coordination and intelligence organization, reporting to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Its goal is to combat drug trafficking and the usage of illegal substances. The Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, section 4(3) was formed in March 1986. The National Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is based in New Delhi, India. It has regional units and offices in Mumbai, Indore, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Jodhpur, Chandigarh, Jammu, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Guwahati, and Patna, which are structured into zones. Charter of Narcotics Control Bureau
- To coordinate the officers’, state government’s, and other authorities’ activities under the Customs Act of 1962, the Drugs and Cosmetics Act of 1940, and other laws.
- Execution of responsibilities for anti-illegal traffic countermeasures under multiple international treaties
- To aid competent authorities in foreign and other international organizations in coordinating and universally combating the illicit traffic in narcotic narcotics and psychotropic substances.
- Bringing together the efforts of numerous ministries, such as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Ministry of Welfare, and others, to combat drug abuse.
