IBM full form: International Business Machines is IBM’s full name. In Hindi, IBM stands for International Business Machines. Because of the blue tint in its logo and products, it is known as “Big Blue.” It is an international technology and IT consulting firm formed by Charles Ranlett Flint and Thomas J. Watson on June 16, 1911. Arvind Krishna, the company’s current CEO, is based in Armonk, New York. Thomas John Watson Sr. gave the company its name. IBM began by bringing together a number of businesses. These businesses combined in 1911 to form the Computing-Tabling-Recording Company (CTR).

In the 1970s, International Business Machines (IBM) was a leading supplier of mainframe computers, but the business has since moved its focus from hardware to software and services. By 2010, IBM had further restructured its business to focus on cloud-based services and cognitive computing. Watson, a cognitive system from IBM, has subsequently become the company’s most visible technology offering. ATMs, floppy discs, hard disc drives, magnetic stripe cards, relational databases, the SQL programming language, UPC barcodes, and dynamic random-access memory are all IBM inventions (DRAM).
