What is the full form of GNM?

GNM full form: General Nursing and Midwifery

GNM full form: General Nursing and Midwifery is the full version of GNM. In Hindi, it is known as General Nutrition and Dai. GNM is a recognized diploma program. This is a Doctor Line Nursing course that lasts 312 years. This course can be completed by any boy or girl, and upon completion, one receives a certificate stating that “the person whose name is on this certificate has become a Registered Nurse.”

What exactly is GNM?

GNM is a three-and-a-half-year diploma program that aims to transmit knowledge and enable general nurses to work effectively as members of a health or medical team and to manage competencies in hospitals and other settings. You can apply for government jobs and work as a nurse in any hospital after completing the GNM course. Students will learn how to work with a health team as a nurse in this course.

GNM Course Eligibility:

  • The candidate’s age must be at least 17 years old. The applicant’s age should not exceed 35 years old.
  • Students who have completed 10+2 Science stream Biology Group (PCB) are the most favored, according to the Indian Nursing Council website.
  • However, students who have completed the 10+2 Arts stream are also eligible to enroll in this course. The minimum required marks may differ from one institute to the next. It usually ranges from 40 to 50 percent.
  • Students should be in good health.
  • Registered nurses with an ANM diploma can also enroll in the GNM program.
