If you have a Galaxy Watch 4 but dislike using Bixby, you can now alter it. Google Assistant became available for download through Google Play on Monday (23). The functionality, which is compatible with Wear OS 3, can be accessed by voice commands or shortcuts on the watch’s primary button.
Since the release of the Galaxy Watch 4 in August 2021, users of Samsung smartwatches have expressed a strong desire for Google Assistant support. For the last eight months, the accessory has only had Bixby as a voice assistant option.
After a lengthy wait, Google Assistant is now available for both the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch 4 Classic. You may use the functionality to access other applications on the watch, set alarms and stopwatches, check the weather forecast, operate smart devices, and even answer questions, much like on a smartphone.
Simply speak “Hey Google” or push the Home button on your watch for a few seconds to activate the Google Assistant functionalities. The wizard will initially support 12 languages, including English, Spanish, and French. So yet, there is no way to utilise the function in Portuguese.

Google Assistant is now available.
Google Assistant is currently only accessible to users in the following countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. The functionality should take a bit longer to reach users.
We don’t know whether other Android smartwatches running Wear OS 3 will be able to download Google Assistant via Google Play.
