In one of our previous articles, we had to present the top 10 features of Elementor that you will unlock when you upgrade to Elementor Pro
This article introduces you to 10 other awesome features that will improve your productivity.
elementor pro features
1. More than 300 ready-to-use models
In Elementor, you have two options to create a page or a template. First of all, you can build your page from scratch using your own design concept. Second, you can build your page from a ready-made template offered by Elementor.
If you are using Elementor Pro, you will have access to all of the ready-made templates available in the template library, including those labeled “PRO”. Elementor itself has over 300 ready-made templates in total. You can click the folder icon in the Elementor editor area to open the template library.
2. Model kits
In August 2019, Elementor released its first edition of the monthly template kit. What is a template kit?
An Elementor template kit is a collection of Elementor templates designed specifically for a certain type of website. All models in a model kit have the same design concept. Typography, color, etc. A template kit allows you to build a website faster.
3. Complete website editor
The concept of full site editing allows you to edit two or more elements of your website from one place. In the context of Elementor, you can edit the footer, header, and a template such as a single post template or a category page template all from one place.
Suppose you are editing your website’s custom unique post template and want to make some custom header changes. In this case, you don’t need to close the Elementor editor to make the changes to the header.
You can simply hover your mouse over the header (or footer) and click on the yellow handle. Likewise, when you edit the custom header and want to make changes to the custom single post template, you can just hover your mouse over the single post template and click the yellow handle as well.
4. Global widget
The Global Widget is an Elementor Pro feature dedicated to streamlining your workflow. In addition, the functionality helps you to have a consistent design on some elements such as buttons or forms.
Suppose you are creating a website consisting of several pages. On some pages, you want to add a button. In this case, you can define a global button widget. You can then use the global button widget defined on every page you create, instead of adding a new button widget and styling it right from the start. This will save you a lot of time in getting your project up and running.
When you make a change on a global widget, the change is applied to all pages to which the associated global widget is added.
5. Action links
When you create a landing page using Elementor, you can add a certain action. For example, you might want your visitors to contact you through WhatsApp or email. Elementor Pro allows you to add a certain action to a button or link. You can use this feature to add a WhatsApp button, email button, etc… to your landing page.
Here are the actions you can define:
- Send an email
- Contact via WhatsApp
- Send a text message (SMS)
- Make a call
- Start a Skype conversation
- Start a Messenger conversation
- Start a Viber chat
- Add an event to Google Calendar
- Add event to Outlook calendar
- Add an event to the Yahoo calendar
To define a certain action, you can click the dynamic icon in the link field and select Contact URL. You can then click the wrench icon to select the action you want to set.

6. Custom fonts
Elementor already has rich font collections, but if you want more, you can install any font families you want. Elementor pro version allows you to add new fonts in the following formats:
- WOFF
- WOFF2
- TTF
- SVG
- EOT
7. Custom icons
Elementor has a rich icon library for you to add icons to your page. Elementor itself uses a third-party provider to provide icon collections (Font Awesome in this case).
If you want to use your own icons, Elementor Pro allows you to do that. You can download a set of icons and Elementor will make them available in the icon library. You can go to Elementor -> Custom Icons to add custom icons in Elementor.
8. Dynamic colors
Elementor Pro allows you to add dynamic content to your WordPress. In addition to custom fields and default WordPress dynamic content, you can also add dynamic colors. Using this feature, you can (dynamically, of course) set separate colors on the same element on a certain model.
For example, you can use the feature to set different post title colors for your website. The post title color is set via a custom field when you write a new post.
9. Role manager
You can use the Role Manager to control who can access the Elementor editor on your WordPress website. This feature is useful if you have a large WordPress website with a high number of users. You can access this feature by going to Elementor -> Role Manager in your WordPress dashboard.
10. Custom Code
Before Elementor Pro version 3.1.1, you had to add the HTML widget to your custom header/footer to install Google Analytics on your Elementor powered website. But you can now install Google Analytics without changing your header or footer thanks to the Customs Code feature.
Besides installing Google Analytics, you can also use the feature to install other analytics tools like Facebook Pixel.
Ultimately
In many cases, upgrading to Elementor Pro not only allows you to unlock professional features but also discloses WordPress features that you might not have heard of, such as custom fields and type of personalized publication.
