Card module divi makes it easy to integrate custom Google Maps anywhere on your page. You can even add unlimited pins to the map and set a custom starting location. The card modules also come in a full-width format, so be sure to check that out as well!
Google Maps API key An API key is required to use the Card module divi. To get an API key, log into the Google Developers Console, which will walk you through the process and automatically enable the Google Maps JavaScript API and all related services. The first thing you will be asked is to create a new project.
Next, you will be asked to name your project. You can name the project whatever you want. In this example, I just named it “Cards”. You can also enter your website domain name to make sure that is authorized for your API key.
After you’ve created a named project, you’ll see an API key that you can use.
After obtaining an API key, you must copy/paste it in the theme options panel by going to Divi >> Theme options >> General settings >> Google Maps API key
How to add a Card module divi to your page
Before you can add a Card module divi to your page, you must first jump into Divi Builder. Once the Divi theme is installed on your website, you will notice a Use Divi Builder button above the post editor every time you create a new page. Click on this button to activate Divi Builder and access all the Divi Builder modules. Then click on the Use Visual Builder button to launch the builder in visual mode. You can also click the Use Visual Builder button when browsing your foreground website if you are logged into your WordPress dashboard.
Once you have entered Visual Builder, you can click the gray plus button to add a new module to your page. New modules can only be added inside rows. If you are starting a new page, remember to add a row to your page first.
Locate the Card module divi in the list of modules and click on it to add it to your page. The list of modules is searchable, which means you can also type the word “map” and then click enter to automatically find and add the Card module divi! Once the module is added, you will be greeted by the module options list. These options are separated into three main groups: Content, Design, and Advanced.
Use case example: Add a Card module divi to a contact page
A map module is a great way to showcase your business location on your contact page. And the ability to add multiple pins to your map to showcase different locations and company information is a useful and attractive feature.
For this example, I’ll add a Card module divi to showcase location and company information by adding a custom pin to the map.
Important: Make sure that a valid Google API key has been entered in the Options panel of the Divi theme. The card module will not work without it.
Using Visual Builder, add a standard section at the bottom of the contact page. Then insert the Card module divi in your new section. In the Content tab of the card settings, enter your company address under the Card center address option. The map center address is the center point of the map.
Then click + Add a new item to create your first pin. Update the following:
Title: [enter the title of your location] Content: [enter the content of your pin (address and phone number)] Map address: [enter the address for this specific location]
Save settings
That’s all. Now you have a dynamic Card module divi at the bottom of the contact page with a clickable pin that displays company information.
Card module divi content options
In the content tab, you will find all the content elements of the module, such as text, images, and icons. Everything that controls what appears in your module will always be found in this tab.
+ Add a new article
This is where you add new pins (or slots) to your board module. Clicking on “Add new item” will open a whole new list of design settings (including content, design, advanced) for your new pin. See below for individual pin settings. After you’ve added your first pin, you’ll see a gray bar appear with your pin title as a tag. The gray bar also has three buttons allowing you to edit, duplicate or delete the pushpin.
Google API key
The Card module divi uses the Google Maps API and requires a valid Google API key to work. Before using the Map module, make sure you have added your API key in the Options panel of the Divi theme.
Map center address
Enter an address for the center point of the map, and the address will be geocoded and displayed on the map below. This is useful if you have multiple pins and want the map to be magnified in a specific and more precise location. You can simply type an address in a standard format.
Administrator label
This will change the module label in the constructor for easy identification. When you use the WireFrame view in Visual Builder, these labels appear in the module block of the Divi Builder interface.
Card module divi design options
In the Design tab, you will find all the styling options for the module, such as fonts, colors, sizing, and spacing. This is the tab that you will use to change the appearance of your module. Each Divi module has a long list of design settings that you can use to change whatever you want.
Zoom Mouse Wheel
Here you can choose whether the zoom level will be controlled by the mouse wheel or not. Often it is best to turn this option off so that visitors are not disturbed as they scroll down the page and stuck the mouse wheel in the map iframe. This is especially true for full-width card modules.
Draggable Zoom
Here you can choose whether the map can be moved on mobile devices.
Use the grayscale filter
Enabling this option will turn your map into a grayscale image.

Advanced Card module divi options
On the advanced tab, you’ll find options that more experienced web designers might find useful, such as custom CSS and HTML attributes. Here you can apply custom CSS to any of the module’s many elements. You can also apply custom CSS classes and IDs to the module, which can be used to customize the module in your child theme’s style.css file.
ID CSS
Enter an optional CSS ID to use for this module. An ID can be used to create a custom CSS style or to link to particular sections of your page.
CSS class
Enter the optional CSS classes to use for this module. A CSS class can be used to create custom CSS styling. You can add multiple classes, separated by a space. These classes can be used in your Divi child theme or in the custom CSS style sheet that you add to your page or website using the Divi theme options or the settings on the Divi Builder page.
Custom CSS
Custom CSS can also be applied to the module and any of the module’s internals. In the Custom CSS section, you will find a text field where you can add custom CSS style sheets directly to each element. CSS entries in these settings are already wrapped in style tags. So just enter the CSS rules separated by semicolons.
Visibility
This option allows you to control the devices on which your module appears. You can choose to deactivate your module on tablets, smartphones, or desktops individually. This is useful if you want to use different mods on different devices, or if you want to simplify the mobile design by eliminating certain elements from the page.
