Beauty fan: What to watch on Netflix when you’re a beauty fan?

Beauty fan: If this second constraint stops us from applying makeup and utilising all of our favourite beauty items as we like, we may still watch beauty-related shows on Netflix.

Your make-up palettes have returned to your drawers, your lipsticks are gathering dust, and your cosmetic goods are no longer useful to you… This second imprisonment is stealing our tiny beauty habits once again. But that’s no excuse to give up on one of our hobbies. Fortunately, there are a few programmes available via the Netflix platform to keep your foot in the door. Here are a few examples.

“GLOW UP”

Beauty fan: If you love cosmetics, this is THE series to watch. “Glow Up” is a makeup artist competition amongst a dozen professionals. Throughout the episodes, they must demonstrate their abilities by doing different tasks such as make-up for the comedians of the musical “The Lion King,” models for Fashion Week, and even putting film prosthesis on performers. Everything is overseen by a distinguished jury, which includes Dominic Skinner, senior artist at MAC Cosmetics, and Val Garland, global cosmetics director at L’Oreal Paris. “Glow Up” is the programme to watch if you want expert advise and amazing cosmetics.

“SKIN DECISION: BEFORE AND AFTER”

Beauty fan: This reality programme covers the day-to-day lives of individuals who have elected to have cosmetic surgery. We may visit Dr. Sheila Nazarian, a qualified cosmetic surgeon, and Nurse Jamie, a specialist in skin beauty. The two physicians use cutting-edge approaches to assist their patients in reconnecting with their bodies and, most importantly, regaining their self-confidence. The experienced pair deals with a broad range of issues, such as acne and huge, noticeable scars. Their purpose, based in the United States, is to treat their patients’ physical difficulties with love.

“SELF MADE: BASED ON THE LIFE OF MADAM CJ WALKER”

Beauty fan: Unlike the other shows, “Self Made” is a four-part mini-series based from A’Lelia Bundles’ memoir “On Her Own Ground.” She tells the storey of her grandmother, Madam CJ Walker (1867-1919), a pioneer in African-American hair care. Madam CJ Walker is played by Oscar winner Octavia Spencer. In this drama series, we witness how black women of the period faced sexism and racial discrimination on a daily basis, yet this did not stop the main heroine from developing a true cosmetic empire.

“QUEER EYE”

Beauty fan: “Queer Eye,” a Netflix original series, will put you in a good mood! Five subject matter experts Antoni Porowski, a cooking expert, Tan France, a fashion expert, Karamo Brown, a culture expert, Bobby Berk, a design expert, and Jonathan Van Ness, a beauty expert help a candidate regain confidence. The metamorphosis involves numerous topics, such as his lifestyle and home decorating, as well as a physical makeover. Jonathan Van Ness, the beauty guru, will sprinkle some sound advise throughout each episode.

“RU PAUL DRAG FACE”

Beauty fan: This is an actual programme, a Drag Queen competition hosted by Ru Paul. And who says Drag Queen doesn’t have stunning makeup? Fantastic changes, full of colour and ingenuity, may be seen. Candidates face great hurdles in their quest to become America’s next drag sensation. Everything is judged by an elite jury comprised of Lady Gaga, Jérémy Scott, and Dita Von Teese.
